Introduction into basic embroidery stitches. Join Zay as she shares her love of hand stitching and learn embroidery from basic to creative embellishment stitches through a series of fun projects! Kick-off with a hooped embroidery sampler; then learn Kawandi-style quilting and get comfortable with our hand stitching using small fabric scraps to make a beautiful table topper. The next project we learn wool applique and embroidered embellishment. Months 4-6 will be guided by the interest of the class, but options include making pin cushions, needle case, craft wallet, holiday garland, zippered pouch, ornament, wall hanging, … all hand stitched and embroidered of course! Kits available for all projects except Feb (batting is provided)

The Wanderer's Wife Quilt is a fun project that is best accomplished with friends and over time. It has 72 pieced blocks, with a background of strips. At our first session, we will go over exactly what will be required to complete the quilt, including fabrics, tools, and multiple ways of piecing the blocks.
